How Slake IoT’s Home/Hotel Automation System Works

Ignoring the common belief of buying smart products to make things smarter. Our technology encourages people to make conventional devices smarter.

We offer a small switchboard module that goes inside a common switchboard in any room. The module supports four devices at a time. These devices could be anything from TV, fan, lights to heavy machines such as geyser, cooler, and AC.

Our module is then connected to the Internet via Wifi and then to our server. The module controls the power going into the connected devices more smartly. By using a phone, laptop, or any computing device we can control the module ultimately controlling the whole process.

With the module installed, all the devices can be controlled via voice commands or the conventional way, the switchboard.

The image below depicts the whole process.

HAS integration in Hotels:

In Hotels, connecting the module with a smartphone is not a feasible idea as the guests change on daily basis. To counter that, our company would provide a Google Home Mini.

This smart speaker would ensure that all types of guests from any origin, be it American, Canadian, British, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, etc. can use the tech easily.

Since these smart speakers are compatible with all languages, guests can use their mother tongue to communicate with a simple quote ”Hey Google, talk to me in this language”.

After which the guest can operate the connected devices as they please.

-To turn on the lights they can say “Hey Google/Alexa, turn on the lights”.

-To turn the AC on “Hey Google/Alexa, turn on the AC”.

Note that these statements are not fixed and guests can use multiple ways to initiate one command as “Hey Google/Alexa, are the lights on?” or “Hey Google/Alexa, can you turn on the lights”, etc.

Depending on the request, we can also upgrade our home automation technology with the ability to offers guests a greater level of personalization with multiple mood settings.

Benefits:-

The benefits of our tech are endless and depend on the user. But to point out some particularly in the field of Hospitality-

  • It gives your guests smarter controls over conventional devices increasing accessibility and functionality.

  • Having a smart room not only increases the level of luxury but also shows hotels’ emphasis on providing the best level of comfort to their guests. With smart tech and life-changing solutions, your guests won’t mind paying for their luxurious stay if the ultimate experience is so fulfilling and enriching.

  • It allows the management to have remote controls over each room allowing them to prepare a room before a guest is about to arrive. Having remote control will also enable the management to turn off any device in case the guest is not in the room to save power.
